Audio Mastering by Pete Maher

Services

Pete Maher formed Topfloor Music in 2000 and was one of the first to offer online mastering. Within months he became the mastering engineer for Freestyle Records, Rumour Records and Kudos Music.

He has mastered many hit records and worked with the likes of Coldplay, Razorlight, Keane, U2, Jack White, Scissor Sisters, Suede, Annie Lennox, Sheryl Crow, The Fray, Damien Rice, The Darkness, The Damned, Joe Strummer and Bob Geldof.

Online Mastering

Online mastering is the number one choice with our clients. Here's how it works..

1. You email your songs via the Upload link on this site. (WAV or AIFF formats please)

2. Pete will master your songs and email them back to you for approval.

3. When all songs are mastered and approved Pete will then create a disc image so that you can hear how your songs sound on CD. You will be able to hear the gap lengths between songs and levels and fades. The advantage of this is that you get to approve each stage of the mastering process in your own time and through your own systems. You have 10 days to request tweaks

4. Once the disc image is approved, Pete will embed ISRC codes and CD text and create red book master discs for duplication. DDPi format is also available.

5. Another advantage with online mastering is that the rate is fixed.

Attended Mastering

Attended mastering sessions are ideal for clients that want to be more involved in the mastering process. This is often the case with restoration projects. Pete has restored many classic albums from vinyl and remastered them for digital release. Attended sessions are charged by the hour.

Mixing & Mastering (stem mastering)

Topfloor Music have a selection of mixing engineers and producers that can mix your tracks before mastering.
